Vincent Price may have shot his last horror flick.
Price, who will turn 75 on May 27, told us he’ll retire from the genre after Conquest Entertainment’s “From a Whisper to a Scream” comes out this fall. The actor, lamenting the rash of slasher pics, said he would like to play a broader range: “I think they’re bad. There’s no suspense. You know that by the end of the picture everyone will be murdered.”
“From a Whisper,” a four-part anthology, features such elements as necrophilia, voodoo and carnival mutants. But Price promised that it will leave much to the imagination: “It’s much like ‘Freaks’ (the 1932 Tod Browning classic) in that the terror is inferred.
