Mesa Limited Partnership reported an 82% increase in first-quarter profits. The partnership, created in December, 1985, as part of a reorganization plan approved by Mesa Petroleum Co. shareholders, said its net income was $31 million, including a $4.8-million realized gain resulting from hedging its oil and condensate sales on the futures market. Income and revenue figures include $28 million in settlements with gas pipeline companies over disputed contracts.
