Mitsui Manufacturers Bank named Taizo Nakamura acting chairman of the board. Nakamura, 55, previously was general manager of the international division of Mitsui Bank Ltd. of Tokyo, parent of Mitsui Manufacturers.
Nakamura will be responsible for long-term planning and will represent the Los Angeles bank in various community activities, the bank said.
The bank also announced that Minoru Fukushima, a senior vice president in loan administration, was elected to a seat on the board.
