Police Probe Fires: Police and fire officials are investigating a pair of suspicious fires that destroyed a motorcycle and a car Monday morning in Irvine. A 1983 Honda motorcycle was found burning at 12:40 a.m. in the alley behind a Culver Drive shopping center. Three hours later, a 1968 Ford Mustang that had been stolen from a Northwood village apartment complex was found ablaze on a residential street about a mile away. “It’s kind of odd that they went down at the time they did,” a police spokesman said.
