Income of Lab Equipment Firm Up 55% in Quarter
Creative Computer Applications said its net income increased 55% during the second quarter ended Feb. 28 to $161,024, or 2 cents per share. Sales rose nearly 40% to $1.6 million.
The Calabasas company, which makes laboratory testing equipment, recorded a sixfold increase in net income to $285,342, or 3 cents per share, during the first half of the fiscal year on a sales increase of 62% to $3 million.
Creative Computer benefited from tax-loss carryforwards of $69,000 in the second quarter and $121,000 over the six months.
