Sent to some 16,000 homes, the first city-sponsored newsletter features mostly announcements.
The items include subjects such as new shopping centers, median island landscaping projectsand activities at the Cypress Senior Citizens Club.
At a cost of approximately $3,500 per issue, the newsletter will be produced every two months, Cypress Public Information Officer Randy Economy said.
“Its purpose is to create a new type of communication line between residents and City Hall,” Economy said.
