Abebe Mekonnen of Ethiopia won the sixth Rotterdam Marathon in 2 hours 9 minutes 9 seconds, followed closely by countryman Belaneh Dinsimo in 2:09:15 at Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
Allan Zachariassen of Denmark was third in 2:11:56.
Eliinor Lunroos of Sweden was the first woman to finish the race, in 2:41:00.
