The home of a vacationing Altadena family was set afire for the second time in less than 24 hours, Los Angeles County fire officials said. No injuries were reported in either fire. Sheriff’s Department arson investigators were trying to learn who may have wanted to destroy the home. The family had returned to remove undamaged furniture after the first fire, storing it in a garage. The second fire charred the furniture and the garage, as well as a car parked in the driveway. Damage was put at $250,000.
