Conservative talk show host Alan J. Stang was indicted on five counts of failure to file federal income tax returns for the years 1979 through 1983. Stang, 54, whose “Alan Stang Reports” is broadcast on radio station KIEV in Glendale, is accused of avoiding taxes on income from fees and other sources of more than $100,000 during the five-year period, when he was an author and lecturer for General Birch Services Inc.

In its editions of April 11, The Times erroneously reported that conservative talk show host Alan J. Stang was indicted on five counts of failure to file federal income tax returns for the years 1979 through 1983. Stang was not indicted; he was charged by the U.S. attorney’s office with a five-count criminal information for willful failure to file income tax returns.
