Sterling Sells Phoenix Unit of Informatics

Sterling Software, which acquired Woodland Hills-based Informatics General last year, said it sold its Informatics Legal Systems division in Phoenix for an undisclosed sum to Baron Data Systems of San Leandro, Calif.
Sterling said the division, which specializes in computer software for law firms, had 1985 sales of $30 million.
