‘He or She Is a Sexist’

Instead of using masculine singular pronouns to stand for two meanings (both masculine and feminine) as in “Anyone who drives without a seat belt takes his life in his hands,” why not employ the indefinite pronoun, one , as in “anyone who drives without a seat belt takes one’s life in one’s hands?”
Though more common in British language usage, the pronoun “one” may be useful in this country to mitigate an inherent sexist bias.
