Santa Ana Defeats San Clemente, 7-3

Santa Ana High School overcame a two-run deficit Thursday to defeat San Clemente, 7-3, in a nonleague baseball game at Santa Ana.
The Saints (9-4) trailed, 3-1, going into the third inning. John Hefler’s two-run double tied the score, and Brian Flores doubled home Brian Thomas to put Santa Ana ahead for good.
The Saints had 10 hits and San Clemente four, three by second baseman Brad Zell.
Hefler (3-1) pitched three innings in relief to get the win.
