Existing single-family homes were sold at an annual rate of 3.27 million units in February, down slightly from January’s pace, the National Assn. of Realtors reported. The association said sales dipped 0.9% last month, but part of the weakness was blamed on unusually severe weather in the Northeast and West. Sales had fallen 6.3% in January, but analysts said that even with the two monthly declines, the sales rate in February remained 13.1% above the level of a year ago. In the month, the median sales price of an existing home rose 0.5% to $77,500.
