Local News in Brief : 25 Suspects Arrested in Vice Crackdown
Twenty-five people were arrested Saturday night as authorities completed a two-day crackdown on prostitutes and their clientele along Sepulveda Boulevard in Van Nuys, Los Angeles police said Sunday.
Twenty-three male clients and two alleged prostitutes were arrested between 6 p.m. and midnight, said Los Angeles Police Sgt. Joseph C. Brazas.
Of those arrested Saturday, 80% were in their 20s and one was a juvenile, Brazas said.
Fifteen men were arrested Friday as several female police officers posed as street walkers along Sepulveda Boulevard, a street considered by police to be a major site of prostitution in the San Fernando Valley.
