A man who was shot in the head during a robbery attempt in a Fontana motel room has sued the motel for more than $5 million. In a lawsuit filed in San Bernardino County Superior Court, Loy R. Holloway Jr., 32, accused Motel 6 of failing to provide him with a safe and unoccupied room. Police said Holloway was shot by a gunman who surprised him in his motel room on Feb. 12, 1985.
