TBS, MGM shareholders set to vote on merger.

Stockholders are to vote today on whether to approve the $1.25-billion merger of the MGM/UA movie conglomerate with Ted Turner’s television empire. The Atlanta-based Turner Broadcasting System planned to hold its shareholders’ meeting in the morning, and stockholders of MGM/UA Entertainment are scheduled to vote tonight in Culver City, TBS spokesman Art Sando said. No surprises are expected in the voting.
