A narcotics investigation at Norton Air Force Base has resulted in convictions of 19 airmen, Air Force officials said. The convicted airmen were sentenced to prison terms ranging from four months to four years for offenses including possession and distribution of marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine and LSD. The investigation originally involved 52 people, but Air Force officials said illegal drugs are not a serious problem at the base 60 miles east of Los Angeles, and none of the cases involved drug use while on duty.
