Fire Destroys 3 RTD Buses
A fire in a Pomona yard of the Southern California Rapid Transit District destroyed three parked buses and damaged five others, causing $700,000 damage, officials said today.
The fire Thursday night was controlled by firefighters about 30 minutes after it broke out in the maintenance yard at Mission Boulevard and East End Avenue, a Pomona Fire Department spokesman said. There were no injuries. Arson investigators are trying to determine the cause of the blaze.
