A wreck involving late model street-stock driver Larry Hoffner forced the cancellation of qualifying for the Miller 400 Winston Cup race at the Richmond Fairground Raceway.
Hoffner was not seriously injured in the mishap, but qualifying was scrapped because a section of the guardrail on the back straightaway was ripped out and could not be replaced in time. All 30 positions will be filled Saturday.
