USIU’s Hockey Team Beats St. Thomas, 7-4

Gordie Stewart scored two goals as the USIU hockey team beat the visiting College of St. Thomas, 7-4, Friday night. The Gulls’ Jeff Dobek picked up his 31st assist of the season to break the USIU school record.
The victory improved USIU’s record to 19-13. St. Thomas, the nation’s No. 2-ranked Division III collegiate hockey team, is 21-4. The Gulls close their season against the same opponent tonight.
