Citing the “repulsive and inflammatory” nature of the killing of a University of California, Berkeley, coed, an Alameda County judge has barred the public from pre-trial hearings and ordered anyone connected with the case not to discuss it publicly. Bradley Page, 25, is charged with slaying his girlfriend, Roberta (Bibi) Lee, 21, when the two went jogging in the Oakland Hills Nov. 4, 1984. Superior Court Judge Donald McCullum said he believes that public disclosure of remarks police say Page made to them could “substantially impair” jury selection.
