Jean J. Rousseau, a 21-year veteran of Merrill Lynch, has been named deputy chairman and chief operating officer of Merrill Lynch Europe/Middle East, according to Stanislas M. Yassukovich, chairman of Merrill Lynch’s Europe/Middle East organization. Rousseau has been serving as senior vice president in charge of the firm’s municipal markets organization.
