About 200 people, many holding balloons and singing along with a band, turned out in Encino Thursday evening to support Rep. Bobbi Fiedler (R-Northridge), indicted on charges of offering a $100,000 contribution to state Sen. Ed Davis (R-Valencia) to lure him out of the U.S. Senate primary.
The supporters, including Los Angeles City Councilman Hal Bernson and Los Angeles school board member David Armor, cheered as a smiling Fiedler took the stage at the Encino Women’s Club. Fiedler likened her situation to that of “facing surgery--I know it’s likely to be over soon.”
