Assembly Speaker Willie Brown, (D-San Francisco), appointed his chief partisan adversary in the Assembly, Republican Leader Pat Nolan of Glendale, to the Motion Picture Council. The council advises state agencies on ways to maintain and improve California’s motion picture industry.
