Alcohol Ban Backed: The city has moved a step closer to joining the growing number of Orange County cities that have ordinances banning the sale of alcohol at gas stations. The city Planning Commission this week recommended approving an ordinance to ban such sales. The ordinance will be considered by the City Council in February. Other cities with similar laws are Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, San Juan Capistrano and Seal Beach.
