Carter, Andrew Young Begin African Tour

KHARTOUM, Sudan — Former President Jimmy Carter and Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young arrived in Sudan on Wednesday to start a four-nation African tour launching “the Green Revolution,” an agricultural development project to fight hunger in Africa.
The project’s main goal is to introduce genetically superior wheat, corn and sorghum that can withstand drought and the harsh climatic conditions of the continent.
