Fox and Columbia Pictures Industries settled a suit.

Twentieth Century Fox Film Corp. and Columbia said the suit, which grew out of the private screening of a Columbia movie by Fox’s then-owner Marvin Davis, “has been resolved to the satisfaction of all parties.” Effective Jan. 31, the parties said, Fox-owned DeLuxe Laboratories will supply Columbia’s motion picture and television units laboratory services on an exclusive basis. Columbia canceled an earlier contract with DeLuxe because Davis obtained a copy of Columbia’s “The Toy” in November, 1982, from it without Columbia’s permission. DeLuxe then filed suit.
