El Camino Coach Ends Brief Time Out

El Camino College basketball Coach Paul Landreaux is back at the reins as the Warriors complete the first week of Metropolitan Conference play with a home game against Los Angeles City College on Friday. Landreaux had taken a brief leave from the team for some academic pursuits but returned this week to lead the 13-3 Warriors into conference play.

“I’m certainly ready. I hope they are,” he said, noting that the team has surrendered a record number of points in recent games. “I thought we’d be undefeated now. We’ve had some letdowns defensively. I don’t think the new kids understand how big a deal that (defensive tradition) was.”
