The Los Angeles Unified School District Friday offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the people responsible for fires and burglaries at two schools.
The first fire occurred Dec. 26 in the administrative building of Western Avenue Elementary School, 1724 W. 53rd St. The second fire occurred just after midnight Tuesday at Mark Twain Jr. High School in West Los Angeles, 2224 Walgrove Ave.
Both fires were determined to be arson, a district spokesman said.
