Caremark Inc. said it expects to post sharp increases in net earnings and revenues for the second quarter and first six months of its fiscal 1986. For the quarter ended Dec. 31, the Newport Beach provider of in-home medical care predicts net earnings of $2.5 million, up 47% from $1.7 million. Net earnings for the fiscal first half are expected to total $4.5 million, up 41% from $3.2 million.
Caremark said second quarter sales should top $29 million, up 70.6% from $17 million, while six-month sales are expected to total $53 million, up 65.6% from $32 million. Caremark’s fiscal 1985 sales figures have been restated to reflect consolidation of partner interests resulting from several joint-ventures in 1984. A company spokesman said the anticipated improvements for the first half of 1986 are the result of increases in the number of patients referred to Caremark by hospitals, health maintenance organizations and insurance companies.
