Pasadena : Rose Bowl Hall of Fame
The Tournament of Roses Assn. has requested permission from the city of Pasadena to build an outdoor Hall of Fame at the Rose Bowl. Plans for the project’s first phase include covering the wall and columns under the Rose Bowl sign at the south entrance with terrazzo marble and placing bronze plaques there to commemorate each game played since 1902.
In a letter to the Board of City Directors, the tournament association pledged to pay for an architectural plan for the project. The board referred the matter to the Cultural Heritage Commission for review because the Rose Bowl is designated as a city landmark. The tournament estimated that the project’s first phase could be completed by August.
