Langston’s Shot Gives Long Beach 47-45 Win

MILWAUKEE — DeAnthony Langston hit an eight-foot jump shot at the buzzer to give Cal State Long Beach a 47-45 win over Penn State in the first round of the Milwaukee tournament Friday night.
The 49ers (4-6) advanced to the championship game tonight against Marquette, which beat Valparaiso in the other game, 70-57.
Langston, Andre Purry and Morlon Wiley all scored 10 points for Long Beach. Tom Hovasse led Penn State (4-3) with 16 points.
