Two men robbed a Vons market in West Los Angeles after handcuffing a clerk to the company safe, police said. The robbers apparently entered the market at 3118 S. Sepulveda Blvd. through the roof and waited until the clerk arrived for work, Pacific Division Lt. Tim McBride of the Los Angeles Police Department said. Armed with a .22-caliber handgun, the intruders made off with less than $300 in cash and 1,000 lottery tickets, McBride said. McBride said there have been two other rooftop robberies in the same shopping center within the last three months.
