Andropov Son in New Post

MOSCOW — The son of the late Soviet leader Yuri V. Andropov has been appointed an ambassador-at-large and will work with Foreign Minister Eduard A. Shevardnadze, a ministry official said. The appointment of Igor Y. Andropov, former ambassador to Greece, was made several weeks ago, the official said.
