Avon plans to swap cosmetics for Soviet dishes.

The firm has worked out a deal with the Soviet Union to trade cosmetics for $4 million worth of Soviet china and crystal. John Cox, a spokesman at Avon Products’ New York headquarters, said the preliminary agreement was recently signed in Moscow. The company said it intends to use Soviet products as bonuses for its sales force.
