2 Killed, 18 Hurt by Car Bomb Blast
From Reuters
TEHRAN — A bomb-laden car exploded in front of a hospital in northern Tehran on Saturday, killing two people and wounding 18, officials and residents said.
“There was a lot of smoke and a very strong boom. I thought part of my head had been cut off,” said Mostafa Fattahi, who was hit by bomb fragments as he sat at the wheel of his own vehicle.
Iran’s national news agency IRNA blamed “agents of imperialism”--an official term for opponents of the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.
It was the 15th bombing reported in Tehran this year.
