Drug Slaying in Mexico

MEXICO CITY — The chief of security for the mayor of Mazatlan was shot to death by a band of drug traffickers, the newspaper Excelsior reported.
The paper quoted police in the Pacific resort as saying that Alfredo Calas Corona and his 17-year-old son Gustavo were killed after an argument with the drug traffickers in a Mazatlan nightclub.
