A passenger hijacked a Rapid Transit District bus in Beverly Hills and attempted to rape the woman driver before running off, an RTD spokesman said. No other passengers were on board the bus when a man, described as blond, bespectacled and of medium build, pulled a gun on the driver and ordered her to take him from Santa Monica Boulevard and Canon Drive to the 800 block of Robertson Boulevard. He attempted to rape her, but was unsuccessful, RTD spokesman Marc Littman said. The driver was shaken, but otherwise unhurt, he said.
