Texaco was denied a bid to delay a hearing.
Texas District Judge Solomon Casseb Jr. rejected Texaco’s motion to delay a hearing in which the judge will determine whether to uphold a landmark $10.53-billion judgment to Pennzoil Co. The judge said he will decide on Thursday as scheduled whether to uphold, reduce or reverse the jury’s Nov. 19 decision that Texaco improperly took Getty Oil away from Pennzoil during a takeover battle last year.
