Bus Hijacked in Beverly Hills
A male passenger hijacked a Rapid Transit District bus in Beverly Hills this morning and attempted to rape the woman driver before running off, a spokesman for the RTD said.
No other passengers were on board the bus just after 7:15 a.m. when the man, described as blond, bespectacled and about 5 foot 9, pulled a gun on the driver and ordered her to take him from Santa Monica Boulevard and Canon Drive to the 800 block of Robertson Boulevard. He attempted to rape her but was unsuccessful, spokesman Marc Littman said. The driver was shaken but otherwise uninjured.
