North County : Brushlands Declared Free of Fire Danger

Brushland areas closed at the start of fire season in May have now been reopened.
With undeveloped brushlands from the Riverside County line to the Costa Mesa Freeway declared safe, restriction notices posted along the entire northeastern section of the county have been removed, Anaheim Fire Marshal Garth Menges said.
Residents should still use caution when traveling through the brushlands, such as the slopes along Nohl Ranch Road, east of Villa Real and into the undeveloped areas of Anaheim Hills.
“Although we have opened these areas to the general public, we still recommend that all citizens use extreme caution throughout the year,” Menges said.
