A Superior Court judge today sentenced a former East Los Angeles scoutmaster to 10 years in prison for lewd conduct in the form of administering enemas to a pair of 13-year-old Boy Scouts.
Joel Lachica, 41, a scoutmaster for 19 years, must spend at least five years in prison before he is eligible for parole under the sentence issued by Superior Court Judge William Pounders. Lachica was convicted last month of two counts of lewd conduct for administering enemas to the boys and of doing so while in a position of authority.
