Ambition, power, jealousy and revenge are the key words in “Kane & Abel,” a seven-hour miniseries that will spin out over three nights this week on CBS. Sunday’s three-hour installment (8 to 11 p.m.) will be followed by two-hour segments on Monday and Tuesday (9 to 11 p.m. both nights).

In this tele-version of Jeffrey Archer’s novel, Peter Strauss portrays Abel Rosnovski and Sam Neill plays William Kane, two business tycoons who seemingly have nothing in common but who eventually become destructive influences on each other’s life.

The cast includes Ron Silver, David Dukes, Fred Gwynne, Jill Eikenberry, Richard Anderson, Kate McNeil and Veronica Hamel.
