Las Vegas Motel Fire Kills 2

LAS VEGAS — Fire raced through a residential motel near the Strip at daybreak today, killing two people, injuring 11 and forcing guests to flee in their nightclothes, officials said.
Some occupants of the two-story Midtowner Motel jumped from second floor windows to escape the flames and heavy smoke in a hallway. An elderly woman burned to death in her second-floor room and the body of a man was found in a first-floor corridor by firefighters. No identities were released.
