Farmers Group reported that its third-quarter net income rose 7.8% from a year earlier. The Los Angeles-based firm noted that its third-quarter property-casualty results reflect excellent revenue growth generated from both higher average premium levels and from added policies in force, offset in part by higher operating expenses.
