MONTREAL — John Anderson set up two goals in the second period, including the game winner, as Quebec defeated the Montreal Canadiens 3-2 Monday night for the Nordiques’ seventh straight National Hockey League victory without a loss.
With the score tied 1-1, Anderson blasted a shot at Canadiens goalie Patrick Roy and Jean-Francois Sauve lifted the rebound into the net at 2:14 for a power-play goal.
Less than 90 seconds later, Anderson fed Mark Kumpel with a pass, which Kumpel redirected past the rookie Canadien goalie for the eventual winner.
Peter Stastny had a goal late in the first period for Quebec.
A pair of Swedes, Kjell Dahlin and Mats Naslund, scored for the Canadiens, who lost their fourth straight game.
