Rookie forward John (Hot Rod) Williams and the Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed to withdraw his NBA contract, pending the outcome of the state of Louisiana’s appeal of his sports bribery case, the league announced.
Cavalier spokesman Bob Price, however, said that the 6-foot-10 forward from Tulane University will continue practicing with the team.
