FALL SPORTS ROUNDUP : Chaminade Remains Unbeaten With Victory Over Louisville

The Chaminade High volleyball team rebounded from a 4-10 deficit in the third game Tuesday to defeat host Louisville, 15-2, 15-11, 15-10.
In the winning game, Jame Jaster had nine aces in the Eagles’ comeback. Daiva Tomkus, a 6-1 senior, had 15 kills and 13 blocks. Melissa Ingalls and Kathy Ahl combined for 23 kills as Chaminade improved its San Fernando Valley League record to 9-0. Louisville dropped to 6-3.
It was the first Chaminade ever earned on Louisville’s home court.
Setter Heidi Thorsen and outside hitter Lynn Goldstein combined for 14 kills against visiting Agoura, leading the Calabasas volleyball team to its third Frontier League victory, 13-15, 15-4, 15-10, 15-10.
The win improves the Coyotes’ record to 3-1, while Agoura fell to 1-3.
Westlake defeated Newbury Park, 15-5, 15-11, 4-15, 15-1, to hold onto second place behind Royal in the Marmonte League.
The Warriors improved their league record to 7-1 and are 10-3 overall. Dana Simone had four kills, while Alissa Evans and Sandy Kranz had three kills each.
