Congress to Extend Session

WASHINGTON — Senate Majority Leader Bob Dole said today that because of the crush of unfinished legislation, Congress will not adjourn for the year until Dec. 10, rather than before Thanksgiving, as is customary.
“It now seems we won’t be able to finish our work before the Thanksgiving Day recess,” the Kansas Republican said. He noted that Congress still has several key bills to deal with but said tax reform probably will be put off.
