Moorpark Shows Little Mercy on Hancock, 53-0

SANTA MARIA — Moorpark College quarterback Ken Lutz threw for three touchdowns Saturday night as the Raiders opened their Western State Conference season with a 53-0 rout of Allan Hancock.
Lutz ran five yards for the Raiders’ first touchdown of the night. He hit Paul Davis on a 75-yard touchdown pass, found Darren McKinney from 11 yards out and Dan Russell from six.
Kicker Kevin Greene had four field goals. He scored on a 36-yard kick in the second half and then fired off three more to put Moorpark up, 46-0.
Uasi Latu scored on a three-yard run in the third quarter and Ed Overholt capped the night off with a 43-yard touchdown run.
Moorpark is 3-1-0 overall, 1-0-0 in conference. The Raider’s only loss of the season came last week against rival Pierce College at Pierce.
